Community Climate Action Networking Event

An opportunity for community groups in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Derby focused on tackling climate change and other environmental problems to meet to share their projects, successes, struggles and ideas. There will also be workshop focused on creating and maintaining a healthy culture within groups.

The event will begin with a bring and share lunch – please bring something to share (let us know if you have any dietary requirements). NB: Sumac’s kitchen is strictly vegan, but vegetarian food can be brought into the room we are meeting in, so long as it doesn’t go into the kitchen.

If you are part of a community group and would like to bring a short workshop/talk about a project you are running/have run please get in touch. Otherwise, come and be inspired.

We are running a similar event in Chesterfield on 23rd March. You are welcome to attend whichever event is more convenient for you, regardless of which county you live in.

– what we can learn from previous direct action campaigns against environmentally destructive campaigns

– what might direct action against the fossil fuel industry look like here in the UK

– how we can coordinate our actions to stop these industries in their tracks
