The Dolls Dining Co-op (DDC) is intended to provide a free vegan food for transfeminine people.

Brinsley Animal Rescue Fundraiser – 18 April 2026

Another regular ‘Peoples Kitchen’ fundraiser for Brinsley Animal Rescue, at the Sumac Centre.

The animals suffering does not end, which means we do not stop our community fundraising meals

So come along, eat homemade delicious vegan food for a fiver, homemade cake for an additional cost.
Join in with the raffle, drink vegan drinks from the bar, socialise with your tribe, bring games too if you like. It’s your night, be creative, bring raffle prizes, and come and have fun and laughter, let’s keep the humor flowing….

All the proceeds are donated to Brinsley Animal Rescue – saving the animals from despair and suffering, we hear them, we see them, we care.

So come along, eat cheap food, laughter at cheap jokes, and have a cheap beer !!

Join us at Sumac Centre cool space for hot drinks, free wifi and hot meal.

There is often a meal at about 1pm for a suggested £3 donation, or what you can afford.

Also community food hub for wholefoods, zero waste supplies & free food redistribution, radical library and book stall, #RainbowCentre Archives, games library & toy box, informal meeting space with zoom & #SumacScreenRoom facilities.

Food for a Future – Vegan Christmas Cookery Demonstration

Join Food For a Future and learn some epic vegan Christmas recipes!

Are you…
Not vegan, but hosting a vegan friend or family member for Christmas?
Vegan but not a confident cook?
Vegan or not, maybe you fancy trying something different this year?
We’ve got you covered! With a mix of tasty starters, mains, sides and desserts demonstrated by FFAF volunteers which you’ll get to taste for yourselves!

The event is free entry but donations to FFAF very welcome. There will also be a raffle with vegan friendly prizes to help fund raise for our future events so we can continue to show people how easy and tasty vegan food can be while doing vegan outreach.

Followed by social at the Forest Fields Social Club aka Sumac Bar from about 7pm.
