Motörpunk masters of York, and all-round idiots, we are Segrëgates!
For fans of motorhead, punk, and chaos.
“This is a band I have grown to love. Their music attacks you like you’re being hit in the face with a 10 tonne hammer. No fancy intros, just a simple “Good evening. We are Segregates. We play Rock and Roll” and then away they go. Breakneck-speed drumming meets thunderous bass and sledgehammer guitar riffs. It draws blatant comparisons to Motorhead, Inepsy, Children of Technology…but they have taken these bands and f***d them around into their own sound…Motorpunk. The music is extremely well-played and each song is packed with raw power and speed. Let Battle Commence is an absolute war b*****d of a song and it churns along like Thor marching down a cosmic battlefield. Finishing the set with Panic (which has 2 false stops, just like Overkill) just adds to their genius even further. This band will be a York punk scene treasure for years to come, even if they split up. I’ve played their 7″ vinyl a hell of a lot. I just hope they can continue to write songs as well has they have done so far.”
