Peoples Kitchen fundraiser for trailer ( Veggies )
Saturday February 18th, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Veggies Catering Campaign began over 30 years ago with a small daily market stall. This led to event catering with various trailers, the latest one going to some 70 events each year, ranging (in distance) from Sneinton Vegan Market to Glastonbury Festival.
One of the original small trailers from Clinton St market days has recently been refurbished to be able to cater events for which the main trailer is too big. It is suitable to popping onto the back of a car for small events, including pickets & similar demonstrations.
A third trailer was on loan for a number of years to raise funds for an animal rescue project in Manchester. ‘Something Fishy’ was the world’s first & finest mobile vegan fish & chips stall! This trailer in now back at its Sumac base. It is intended to refurbish it to be available for fundraising be various like-minded groups, a kind of ‘Peoples Kitchen on the Road’.
You can support this project by coming to enjoy a People’s Kitchen Meal at the Sumac Centre on Saturday 18th February.
Sumac exists to provides resources and a meeting space for groups and individuals working to promote social justice, environmental awareness, peace, and animal rights.
