Nottingham Home Birth Group

Anyone who is interested in home birth welcome. We usually have a mix of people, pregnant women, partners, family members, younger children (there are activities for children), doulas, and midwives.
This is a support group for those planning or considering home birth, though we welcome everyone regardless of planned birth setting. The primary purpose of the group is to support women wanting home births, and to promote home birth as a viable option. We support women’s human right to give birth in the setting of their choice, with the birth supporters of their choice.
Sumac exists to provides resources and a meeting space for groups and individuals working to promote social justice, environmental awareness, peace, and animal rights.
