Sherwood Exchange

Promotional workshop at Sumac Centre, in advance of February opening of Sherwood Exchange, food and clothing support hub at The Place Activity Centre.👇
Come along and meet Rachel, the founder of the Sherwood Exchange, a community space opening next February in The Place Activity Centre to encourage people to share, reuse and recycle food, household goods and clothing.
Learn how you can volunteer within the exchange, upon the committee or even with social media and marketing campaigns and be paid back in time bank hours whilst also obtaining skills in basic food hygiene, health and safety. Plus helpful skills in social care interventions such as essential listening and solution focussed interventions and how and where to signpost people to when requiring more support.
Come along to support Rachel and be part of this exciting community movement, which intends to provide something for all community members whilst also preventing hardship, unnecessary landfill waste, inequality and isolation.
