DESCRIPTION:Click here for shortcut to Links for live & recap coverage. \nThe Undercover Policing Inquiry continues right through July with another block of public hearings: Tranche 3 Phase 3\, Being questioned now are 24 of the managers of the Special Demonstration Squad from 90s-00s. \nOn Friday 24th July\, there will be something different. Instead of a cop\, we will hear from the core participant and Police Spies Out of Lives activist\, Helen Steel. \nSee the preview here and the schedule for this section. You can follow too\, via the links further below. \nMeanwhile Home Office ‘consultation’ is an attempt to shut down the #spycops Inquiry\, just before it reaches ‘our’ time. \nDisclosure and closure relating to the NPOIU\, set up in 1999 to track green activists and public demos\, may be denied to those affected. \nMore https://social.coop/@Veggies/116931849540821894 \n \nWhat we’ve heard so far\nOn 19th and 24th June\, there was something different. Instead of a cop\, we heard from the activist Helen Steel\, with whom we worked during the McLibel campaign. Helen may appear again on Friday 24th July. \nOn Thursday 26th March we heard from the last of the #spycops in the SDS (Special Demonstration Squad) – a particularly odous peace of work. Rights were violated and lives destroyed.
